End the suffering with Pinnacle Physical Therapy in Little Rock, AR! See how we can treat your knee pain without the use of surgery, medications, or injections.

What is Knee Pain?

Knee pain can be caused by a wide variety of problems including injuries, wear and tear with age, arthritis, sprained or torn ligaments, tears, and more. Knee pain often feels sore, achy,
or unusually stiff.

How Can We Help?

To treat your knee pain, Pinnacle Physical Therapy will first conduct a full body evaluation to determine the cause of your knee pain and develop a solution that’s fit for you! We look at your whole body because there is research that shows impairments above the knee in your hip and below your knee in your ankle can also be contributing to your pain and limitation.

Get a Full Body Evaluation

Get started on your knee care by scheduling a full body evaluation! Your PT will take a thorough history, analyze your movements, and educate you on their findings to create a holistic healing plan for you.

Understanding Your Knee Pain

Before diving into treatment, Dr. Brian Murphy or a member of his physical therapy team will thoroughly examine your knees and medical history to pinpoint the cause of your pain, which will be used to create your care plan.

Treating Your Knee Pain

Your physical therapist will work with you on personalized exercises, stretches, and manual therapy to address stiffness and muscle tension.

On-Going Care

To supplement your clinic visits, your physical therapist will create an exercise plan for you to do at home to speed up your path to recovery.

Common Knee Conditions

Patellofemoral Knee Pain

Patellofemoral knee pain is commonly caused when the cartilage under the kneecap is injured or worn down from overuse. This typically causes a dull, aching pain.

Hamstring Injury

When you pull or strain a hamstring muscle, a stinging pain is often felt, followed by swelling and tenderness later. This pain could amplify if not treated.

IT Band Syndrome

IT Band Syndrome is an extremely painful condition resulting from connective tissue rubbing against your thigh bone. This often causes pain between the hips and knees.

Patellar Tendonitis

Patellar Tendonitis is caused when the tissue connected to the kneecap is injured. This can cause swelling and pain with physical activity.

Meniscus Tear

A torn meniscus is often caused during an injury to the cartilage that separates the shinbone from the thigh bone. This can be extremely painful and often requires physical therapy to heal.

Matthew

Within a couple weeks I was running again without any pain!”

“I reached out to Dr. Murphy through the Chenal Country Club which he is currently aligned with. I was suffering from pain in my right knee while running which had already led to extended downtime. Dr. Murphy assessed my knee as well as other ailments I was experiencing. Within a couple weeks I was running again without any pain! I was very impressed with Dr. Murphy's knowledge and hands on approach from my treatment. His treatment didn’t stop once our appointments were complete as he would provide personalized home therapy workouts through emails and apps. I have since continued to work with Dr. Murphy on a strength training program and would recommend him to anyone!”
